Question Out of the box strength????

4R70 or 4R100
I am curious as to what transmission is the strongest out of the box for towing and hauling and things like that. Which tranny can be built to be the strongest? Anyone know. Thanks for the insight.

Cool

HI!... The 4R100 is stronger than the 4R70-W. Any tranny can be made strong with enough money. Shoot I have a "75" C-4 tranny that holds close to 900H.P. I had my 4R70-W re-built to hold 650FT/LBS of TQ and 600H.P.

An E4OD / 4R100 is a ton stronger for towing and hauling and also any other use. Yes, any trans can be made more durable but it's better to start with what would be the stronger of the factory units to begin with. -John
