5sp/4.2 Clutch lifespan...

How many miles did you get out of your clutch?
Just got this '99 with 110,000 miles on it, I don't know when or if the clutch had been replaced.
I'd like to hear how many miles others have gotten out of their clutches and how they drove them.

My truck don't have many miles, only 33,000 has the stock clutch and it still feels as good as the day I drove it off the lot. If you know how to drive a stick correctly the clutch should last a long, long time at least 100,000 miles.

My truck has 40k. The last 11k have been with the added torque and hp of a supercharger. The clutch still feels tight. I don't expect that it will last as long with the supercharger as it would have stock but then the power of a supercharged truck makes replacing the clutch worth it.

If the clutch in that '99 still feels good you should be ok. If it's slipping then maybe it's time.

I think that as long as we don't ride the clutch it'll last a long time.
