Question 2001 5-speed TSB's...

#15711

"Some vehicles equipped with a 5-speed Mazda R2 manual transmission may exhibit a high effort condition when shifting any gear. *TT"

#15869

"Some vehicles may exhibit an intermittent soft clutch pedal which may cause difficulty in shifting gears (a notchy feel). *TT"

Alright, my 5-speed, as I'm sure many of yours are as well, can be a POS half the time. What good are these TSB's and how are they addressed? Thanks!!!

It's too bad they couln't have addressed these issues a long time ago. These aren't new issues.

I don't think there is much hope for us that already have the Mazda 5-speed. I think were stuck with this sloppy transmission.

I wish that this were a better transmission but I still would rather have this than an auto.
