How many quarts???

I am converting to Amsoil in my tranny with a flush machine on monday. How many quarts do i need? Tranny code is "U" on door jamb. 2000 F-150XL SC 4x4 4.6l Auto.

I believe the capacity of the entire tranny / torque converter will be in the 14 - 20 quart range.

I just installed a Transgo S/K in my '01 'Screw (4R70W) and it took 11 quarts to fill it back up.

Add some more for the converter, cooler, lines, remote filter, etc. and kinda' go from there.

The other option is to measure what is removed from the system when you flush...
