just tonight my overdrive light "off" light started flashing. It flashes 4 times then 18 times and then 50 times. It is flashing differnet times and differnet sequences all the time now. Does anybody know what is causing this to happen???Thanks

 

That's the transmission malfunction indicator. Similar to a Check Engine Light but this one is for the transmission. Specifically: "... electronic pressure control (EPC) circuit shorted (lamp flashing) or monitored sensor failure."

There should be a code stored in the computer's memory. You should get it to a Ford dealer for diagnosis. Something is wrong with the transmission controls.
