Hauling a Four Wheeler

I have a SuperCrew and a Polaris Four wheeler that I have to leave the tailgate down to haul it. Any ideas or ways that you guys haul your four wheelers. I'm not sure if the tie down hooks are strong enough for a ratchet strap. Thanks in advance.

Not an apples to apples comparison, but when I load my ATV in the back, I use ratchet straps in the tie downs with no problems whatsoever.

Do the ratchet strap mounts that are on the truck bend? I know I have to tighten them down pretty tight so it won't roll out the back and I was also afraid the screws would pull out with the tightening and the weight of the four wheeler. what do you think?

Never experieced any bending on any of the tie downs or on the strap hooks. If you are really concerned, you might want to look into a product called the Louisiana Guard Dog (www.laguarddog.com). It is designed specifically for your situation, and I know several people who have used them and been very happy with them. Can't give you any information on pricing, but have seen them at a local truck accessory reseller.
