Approximate weight of an old RV trailer?

I just bought a 24-foot RV trailer that was built in 1980. I was told that it weighs alot more than the new ones, but nobody has told me how much.
I towed it home last week with my `99 F150 4x4 SC with a 5.4 with a Flowmaster exhaust and a bad MAF and check engine light on. I had to slow down to around 55 going up the passes, but it seemed to handle it okay, just a little squirelly.
Any idea how much one of these old RVs weigh?

A good guess would be to find a new one that has close to the same specs as the old one, tank sizes, appliances, etc...
then add 2,000 lbs.

or just find some scales

I had a 22 foot 1979 Terry Taurus that weighed about 3600Lb. I would guess you are looking at 4000 to 4500Lb. The 3600Lb does not account for any options or accesories ie batteries, awnings, spare tires, propane etc. Current 1981 31 foot trailer has a dry weight of 5600Lb.
