What Brand
Hey, I'm currently in the market myself for a fifth wheel trailer / travel trailer. One thing I have learned is that most of them are priced the same and have the same floor plans. The thing you have to look for are the options they each come with and make sure when you pay for the trailer it's ready to go right when you pick it up. Make sure it includes the spare tire, battery, filled tanks etc. Also, check out the construction of each trailer.. look in behind places you wouldn't normally check to make sure the construction is sturdy etc...
Hope this helps...

Try to get a copy of The RV Ratings Book from the RV Consumer Group. It evaluates all models for safety, durability and value.
Trailers are not all alike and there is some dangerous junk out there. Stick to the safe, "acceptable" models and you will still have a lot of choices.
Beware that even within one manufacturer's line, some models may be well-rated and others poorly rated. Even though the quality of construction is identical, the poorly rated model might have a dangerous rear wheel overhang or an insufficient weight margin for cargo.
I don't know where you can get this kind of data elsewhere. The book is costly but it will help you make a smart, safe decision.
