2017 F150 - No gain increase on status screen when braking, manual braking works

I recently installed the JL3Z2C006AA in dash controller on my 53A equipped 2017 F150, and enabled the two options in Forscan to enable it. I've bought two new trailers, a cargo and an RV. I've not towed a lot of weight in the cargo yet, but when I brought the RV home I noticed it wasn't braking very well, I reached down an used the manual brake and noticed a considerable difference and that the trailer brakes were working. I adjusted the gain up to 10 and still had no brakes on the trailer when using the brake pedal, but again manually squeezing the brake controller worked just fine.

I switched over to the trailer status page and notice there is no feedback on the page when pressing the brakes, I do get a "Trailer disconnected" on both trailers when using the manual brake on the controller, but manual braking still works and the trailers are detected by the truck. So I'm wondering if I've got a bad controller, or since both the trailers have LED lights, do I need a software update or something?

Just bought same module for my truck

I just bought this same module for my truck. I haven't yet connected a trailer to it but the trailer I'm getting also has LED brake lights. From what I'm gathering from your description it doesn't detect the trailer with LED lights is detected. I see you posted this over two years ago. Did you ever get the issue resolved?
