vibration while towing
hey guys i need some help on this one. my 97 5.4 4x4 screw has a excessive steering wheel vibration at highway speeds 55-65mph. only when i tow my quad on the trailer. it only weights 650lbs. and the trailer is about 300lbs. i worked around tires and wheels half my life so i have equipment to high speed balance my tires &wheels not the problem. if i haul the quad in the bed no problem. only with the trail&quad hooked up. i noticed it only happenes when i start up a slight grade on the highway. even if i turn the o\d off it is sitll there. i just installed a set of r5000, but the vibration was there before then the trailer was fine the first 2 trips. but now my pepsi foams all over the radio when i tow....any ideas?
Could there be a problem with the trailer tires? Balance or correct air pressure? Maybe somehow, transfers thru the frame and that's what you are feeling?
Seems really strange that it only happens when towing that trailer. Have you ever towed a different trailer?

no this is the first and only trailer i towed. i think you may be right i did take it on a ruff road up at my cabin. i think i;ll try rebalancing the trailer wheels again, its just strange it only happens on a slight grade and under power.
