ANother question the bottom of the bag is centered on the bracket. The top of the bag iI have all the way forward in that slot in the top bracket, that seems to look better than the center.

 

The biggest concern is that the bag is as straight as possible. I assume this is what you mean by looks better. The bags can be offset (not straight) but they function better and longer when the bag plates are parallel to each other.
