Rv Towing question!

I have a 2008 F-150 FX4 Supercab, 3.73 gears, 2" leveling kit, 2" add-a-leaf in the rear, 305/65/18 tires, and K&N Open Intake. Right now I tow a 26' Keystone Sprindale Camper. I was looking at buying a 30' Puma camper today. The weight on the Puma is 6,670LBS. Which is close to, within a couple 100 lbs of my current Springdale. What is everyonese opinion on the 30'. Think it will be too much for the truck? I use stabilizer bars and will use them with the new one. What is everyones opinion???

A lifted half ton truck, with big tires? 30' is way to much trailer IMHO

I have a 2010 F150 4x4 5.4, 3.73 screw and tow a NorthTriail thats 31'-10" OAL and weighs 7200lbs loaded. I use an Equalizer 4pt sway hitch and have stock size tires on but they are E rated. I run them @50psi when towing. The truck does just fine. I can't help you with the tire situation as I'm not really sure how much they change your towing abilities. If your TT is 30' before you add the tongue and bumper, I would tend to agree with Can Screw you would be pushing your limits. 2" isn't much of a lift, but the tires may hinder handling. Your tires are 2" taller than my stock 265's. So you also lower your rear gears numericaly. Which means you have less of a tow rating than stck.

I tow a 26' now and it handles fine. I have also pulled a loaded dump trailer, not sure what the weight was, but the truck handled fine. I am not so much concerned about the handling as i am the power. I plan on trading for a new 2011 5.0L also here soon.

I highly recommend the max towing package that gives an extra 350-500 pounds of payload when you upgrade your truck.

Yep, and you have to get a EB or 6.2 to get the max tow.
