Maxloader overload suspension

Found these in my day-to-day activities and thought it was a great design as overload springs go. Just wanted to share with the towers and haulers out there.

There's a coupon code for 10% off and it's free shipping. 10% off code is Max10

Doesn't look like a bad design but the price seems a little high. I was able to get an airbag rear setup for under 200 shipped.

I like airbags, but I like that these require nothing once they're installed. No filling with air. And off-roaders don't have to worry about something stabbing them, or an air line or fitting failing.

Looks like a hassle-free alternative for people that don't want to go with airbags.

Ouch... Glad I got my Hellwig system about 10 years ago for only $250!

I also have 2 more leafs and I do not have to wait for it to contact the stock springs before it's engaged..

Still, they do work and I'll take my overloads over bags anyday!

I have the Firestone airsprings on my '09 4x4 SCREW. One advantage of the airsprings is the adjustability. With my 2" AS leveling kit, my truck sits 1/2" nose high. After I added the airsprings, I sit 1/2" tail-high with 10 PSI in the springs unloaded, and 1/2" tail-high with 30 PSI in the bags when hauling my 32' TT.

That was actually an advantage that caught my eye. They're not always engaged and making the ride unnecessarily rough. They let the OE springs do the work for normal driving, but engage on-demand. Win-Win!

Personally, I like the stiffer ride... Feels more firm for everyday driving and it saves me a coupld inches of 'sag'..

I didn't realize how soft my suspension was until after I installed mine. Lots of body roll on corners and it had zero payload ability..

I can set the tension on the overloads and I've actually bumped them up a couple of times in the 10 years I've had 'em...

To each their own!

Absolutely. Some people like it stiff. I don't have an unreasonable amount of roll on my stock springs, but I do want to get the Hellwig rear sway bar to tighten up the rear end.
