2001 F-150 5.4 4x4 towing question
I got a 01 4x4 5.4L LS rear...with towing package.
I need to tow 6 motorcycles + trailer over 1k miles highway each way. Should I be alright? Don't need to have an issue on the road..thanks!
PS. Sportbikes...figure 500-600lbs or so roughly..

What kind of trailer are you going to use?
As long as you have at least 3.55 gears, you'll be fine for the most part if you are hauling on a flat bed car hauler for example. An LS rear end is meaningless, unless you are going to tow off road or in snow... Well, if it's wet, an LS is handy too..
Don't load them into a 30', #10k toy hauler however....

in PA you are liable to be in the hills. shift out of overrdrive before you start up the hill. and dont push it too much. i have hauled a 5.K trailer about 15K miles with basically the same vehicle. be careful and have fun .
Jimminey Krickets...500-600lb sport bikes?? Are they all Busa's?? If not, you can figure a little closer to 400 each and you'll feel a little better about the load. On a flat bed trailer with this load you'll be just fine. I'd probably want trailer brakes though.
