Rear Sway Bar
Has anyone had any experience in towing a fifth-wheel after installing the Hellwig rear anti sway bar? Does the truck track better? I am looking to have one installed and would like to know if this is a good investment. Thank you.

I dont know about Hellwig. I went w/an equalizer hitch to tow my 30'TT It gives you weight distribution along w/sway control. Check them out at www.equalizerhitch.com I used their dealer finder to find one near me. This also comes in 3 weight classifications, I went ahead and put on the heavy duty one. Cost was around $500. Real easy to figure out how to set it up. We ended up having to pick up our trailer in the rain (lots of fun) and putting the hitch together then. Set it up to where it looked right then drove it down the road. Had to stop once and tighten up one notch more. Drove fantastic then and that was city/interstate in the rain.

Tina,
I think we are talking about 2 different things. This is the rear sway bar that mounts under the truck chassis.

I was wondering about that, seeing as you're name implys a 5th-wheel
But I decided not to delete and I posted the info anyways!!! What I have is also an anti-sway device and it's also got "bars". If no one here has any info ck out www.ford-diesel.com They have a LOT of people over there w/5th wheels and should know all the ins and outs of pulling them
