Towing 7500lbs

I have a 2001 F150 5.4 4x4, max towing 7700lbs. I am looking at buying an 79 F150 and turn it into a trail rig and tow it around. What is necessary for me to be able to tow that much weight?

The truck has a gryphon with 93 towing custom tune. 33" tires and 3.55 gears. Will I be good to go if I get a WD hitch with sway bars and a brake controller or will I also need to re-gear, new aux trans cooler, etc. Or am I dreaming thinking this is possible at all.

edit:
it has the stock class 3 hitch.
Would this work, seems a lot cheaper than WD w/ sway bar?

Without WD, you will be seriously overloading your rear axle. Do it right - use the stock hitch with WD and sway bars instead of getting a Class 4 hitch. You can tow without regearing, but it won't be fun. The stock towing package trans cooler may be good enough, it may not.

Sounds good, better safe than sorry. What about friction and cam sway control. Based on price, cam seems better. What are the pluses and minuses of each?

3.55s and 33s? I would definitely want to re-gear that thing before towing a heavy load.
Weight distribution would be helpful, with another truck on a flatbed you are putting a lot of weight on the rear axle.
