Stupid question

I went down to Georgia last year to visit my sister and I noticed quite a few weigh stations along the way. This year I will be pulling my 7 X 14 behind me and will I be expected to pull in and be checked or should I just blow by them and not worry about it. Pretty stupid question huh.

Not a stupid question, just you didn't know....

No, you don't have to stop. Even if you were driving a huge motorhome or towing a huge 5th wheel with an F550 you wouldn't have to stop... Only commercial rigs need to stop.

Have a safe trip to Georgia!

Mitch

As stated before No on the weigh station, but I would recommend that you use the truck parking in the rest areas if you stop. Take it from me it makes it easier to get in and out cause they are pull thru parking on that side.

You have to use the truck parking in the rest areas. Trailers aren't allowed in the car area.

Each state and rest areas are different. I have personally been to some that have parking on the car side for trailers/campers but very limited in number of spots. Which is why I recommended using the truck side. But Trailers are allowed in the car area.

Well, half the rest stops in Virginia are closed due to budget cuts so you won't have to worry about whether to use the 'Car' side or the 'Truck' side.

About your only option will be the Georgia Pecan.
