Can I pull this boat??

Not so worried about the pull, as much as the "pull out of the water". lol
Serious inquiry though, not BSing. If not, I'm looking at a 25-26 footer. My truck is a 2002 F-150 Ex. Cab. 5.4 4x4. 33in off road tires. stock, other than intake and exhaust. Truck is in "as new" condition, no probs. Please, don't flame, serious question. don't want to lose my baby into the lake. Looking at many 29' offshores, but also some 25-26 footers. If not, I'll have to buy a Bassboat. Not that I'm complaining.

Oh, by the way. Live in Las Vegas. Quit a few hills around the lakes, "Lake Mead", Havasu and Cali Lakes. Friend pull a 26' Sockwave with his F-150 without any problems, but his truck is a newer model, and a Crew Cab (4 Door).

4WD low always gets the boat out of the water.

Weight of the first one is no problem, 4400 pound,s plus gas, water, trailer, whatever, should be under 6000 pounds, no problem.

Second boat has no specs. Short answer is, 2-axle trailer ok, 3 axle buy a bigger truck.

What's your axle code on the driver door sticker?

You should be able to pull either one of these without problems.

As for the choice of boats I would go with the Cobra over the Chettah any day. Cobra is a much better built boat.

Check this site out for all of your boating and towing questions......

The open water forum is great.

The site is messed up for the Cheetah, but the boat is acually lighter than the Cobra. But it does have a three axle trailer, pretty sure anyway, from the pics of it.

A few years ago, I used to tow a 21' Bayliner Cuddy Cabin with a Chrysler Town & Country minivan. Never had any problems towing the boat or pulling it out of the water. You would probably be surprised what you can tow with just ordinary vehicles.

I towed a 19' SeaRay Cuddy Cabin with my Windstar....once.
That combo is what brought me here ten years ago.

Man that is way to big. the engine will pull it just fine but The truck isnt heavy enough. I have a 21foot compet wakeboard boat and I pull it some times with my 99 f150 and I feel like theboat is driving my truck. You can pull it off bnut I dont recomend it. Plus after a couple trips to lake the thr is a good chance you might haft to end up buying a transmision.

My stepdaughter ate 2 transmissions in her Dodge Grand Caravan trying to tow, and the trailer wasn't all that big, she only had a Class 2 hitch.

Just a word of advice from a fellow boater/fishin' fool, I live in the FL panhandle, needless to say I fish. I have pulled quite a few boats with different trucks, pulling the weight won't be your problem, stopping it might hurt you though. *pun intended* Good luck on your boat choice. Have fun and be careful.
