2008 Tow Package Question!!!

Hello everyone, I have a 2008 F150 with the tow package. I'm heading to a campsite Tuesday and am pulling a small camper. I really don't need a brake controller, but I believe it better to be safe than sorry. I have the electric brakes diagram in my glove box, but no harness or trailer charge relay. I believe from my research that my truck should have this parts included. Should I contact the dealer? I'm very fustrated because it's all last minute things I should have checked before...

Have you checked all the door pockets? Also for trailer brakes, you will need a controller.

I already have a brake controller. When you say door pockets, you mean the opening at the bottom of the doors correct?

Correct. The storage areas at the bottom of the doors. That's where every one of mine have been. Other places, might be under the seats. It should be in a clear plastic bag.

Do you know for certain that the camper has electric brakes?

I ask because the small campers I've rented didn't have them.

A lot depends upon the state where they are located. Some require brakes at 1500lbs, while others don't require any.
