At least here in wisconsin if you have something extending out the rear of a vehicle or trailer, more than 3 ft it has to have a red flag or a red flashing light on it. But there is a actual length past the taillights that you can not exceed, from what I remember it is 10 ft, anything more than that and then you need a permit.

That's a lot of trailer, what makes toy haulers suck is that the axles are moved farther back making it more tricky to load when you don't have large objects countering the massive tongue weight. Just a FYI, might want to try some EBC pads, I've had great improvements in braking with a trailer and the use of EBC pads.
I need to research, I can't remember off the top of my head. I used Napa's premium gold on my truck last time because I knew I was getting rid of it soon. I think it's the Supreme Green but not sure.
