Honestly I would stay in Pigon Forge. Gatlinburg is tight to get around in just in a little Honda and it isn't that far of a drive to Gatlinburg.

Try this site.... http://www.rvparkreviews.com/

I reviewed some of the reviews for my local parks, and they tend to coincide with my views as well.... so they seem to be pretty accurate.

Pigeon Forge & even Sevierville will be much easier on you, in every way. You can drive up to Gatlinburg in less than an hour, even when traffic is thick. Don't miss the drive thru the GSM nat'l. park at the top - it's worth it. I've never stayed, so I can't help you on that, but I know there are many RV parks around the area. I'm sure Yahoo! (etc.) can find them.

Google Earth has a "Lodging" layer that will show RV parks, and you'll be able to see the roads & terrain in addition to just about everything else. Check it out - it's free.
