Weight/Equalizer Hitch

I am learning about these hitches as I am looking to start pulling a toy hauler as opposed to my 16 foot flatbed trailer.

Is this a quality hitch? I found it on Ebay. If not, any suggestions?

'The Equalizer' is supposed to be the best out there. One thing I can see with the one on ebay is I don't think you can back up with the antisway attached. Could be wrong but I think that's the case with the chain attached ones. I've had an Equalizer for several years on a couple trucks and absolutely love it. Simple to operate and really impressive results.

So you don't use an anti-sway bar? I guess it would really help in windy situations as I won't be speeding along any more than 55 mph nor will I be taking any curves at high speeds!

The equalizer is load leveling and anti sway all in one package. Check out there website for details.

Without any experience with sway control and weight distribution I just asked our Airstream dealer to put their best setup on our new travel trailer . They installed the system shown in the second photo in this link:

The rig (F150 + 5200 lbs of aluminum), rides completely level and the biggest fastest semi passing us does not even phase the ole F150.

This looks like a "run of the mill" weight distribution kit with the "one arm" sway control.

Do yourself a favor and spend the $400 for the Equal-i-zer which is an "all-in-one" weight distribution system and sway control. It really works.
