Should be fine, get a WD hitch and brake controller.

You'll slow down on the hills and have to pull some rpms, so don't be afraid of that...

Make sure you have fresh fluids all around and check them at your gas stops, which will be often!

Figure on around 8-10 mpg at best.... I get 10 mpg towing a #5000 TT... I'm in second gear on the steeper grades.

Once you are out on the road, you will 'learn' what your truck likes and does not like by how it handles the load and the way you are driving it.

Don't let the trans shift a lot from OD to 3rd or from 3rd to 2nd. If you find it's shifting a lot, drop it to the lower of the two gears and try to hold your speed there.

Don't rely only on the trucks Water temp gauge, and think that because it's not moving above "normal", your truck is not working really hard...... It will be.....

Take it easy and don't try to keep up with the diesels and the semis and you'll be fine....

Good luck and have fun!

Mitch

I also have a Puma trailer. It's a 29 ft that weighs 6500 dry. Like everyone says, don't try to keep up with the diesels. I've taken mine on trip's up to 500 miles one way and have not had any problems.
The only thing I would recommend is a good sway control. The only issue with these big campers is the sway you get from the semis that pass you.
