7245 lbs with an 01 F-150 King Ranch?

I recently purchased a 37 foot Wildwood Travel Trailer (37 BHSS) that weighs 7245 dry (6295 axle weight plus 950 tongue weight). Can my 5.4 liter 2001 F-150 King Ranch tow that safely 1000+ miles? Also, is the hitch a class IV, or merely a class III? Any advice?

Are you going to pull it there and leave it?

Yes, once I move it, it'll remain stationary in its new location.

Do you have the towing package? What axle gearing?

It's got the manufacturer-installed towing package. Also, there haven't been any modifications to the axle gearing.

I really dont know enough about the King Ranch to know if it has a particular axle gearing, but to the best of my knowledge 3.55 & 3.73's are available.
You could do it with either, but the 3.73 would make it an easier trip

If it were a "one way trip and leave it" deal I wouldn't hesitate to try it. But I might take the back roads and try and avoid any Highway Patrol types.

When you do make the trip be sure to drain the tanks and I would take the minimum camping gear you need.
