my options for my bikes

we recently bought a pop up camper and want to find a way to take our bikes with us on trips. they make a bike rack for pop-ups but they cost $400. and there is not enough room in the back of the truck due to coolers, luggage, etc. just trying to see what my option were. i have found a few things and wanted to see what anyone else thought. i could:

a. http://www.rvlifestyles.net/ItemPage...1-522346068b6a

or

b. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...149149454&rd=1
and get a normal bike carrie that fits a 2" receiver.

both would be about the same in price when all done, just what will be safer for me driving and the bikes. thanks

Do B, if it's crap, you're out 30 and change shipped.

Only problem I have with B is that I think the bikes are going to be a lot closer, maybe too close to the trailer in a turn. A gives a better distance from the hitch point to the bike rack.

Goog point, shouldn't be too close, but A would be and is the prefered way to go from what I've seen.

There is another option.
Thule makes something called a Bed-Rider for pickups.
It's a telescoping pipe that mounts onto the bedrails.
It's not a permanent type mount.

It has clamps for the front fork, up to four bikes.
Normally it would be mounted up near the cab and the bikes rear wheels sit in the bed.

What you could do is load your truck for camping then mount the Thule wherever it fits best, up by the cab or back by the tailgate. The rear wheels don't have to go in the bed. they can sit on top of your camping load.
Run a bungie thru the rear spokes to stablize and remove bounce.
