Stupid Question

A real good freind of mine purchased a dismantled barn down in Virginia.Me and a couple of other people are going to go pick it up on trailers(my opened deck trailer)seeing that shipping cost is $1800.This freind fixes my cars for free at anytime I ask so I really cant say NO! Now my trailer is an 03 model with a weight distribution hitch pulled by an 97 Expedition with a 5.4. This trailer is great and pulls my 93 Cobra with very little effort. So how do I know the weight of pieces of a dis-assembled barn?We wont have access to a scale and I dont want to overload the trailer. I was told to put the weight distribution hitch on crank the weight off the trailer, load car, strap it down ,release weight and be on my way. So how do I know. The trailer weight 1450 empty.
Please help because we are going down on May 6th to bring as much home as possible

I would just kinda go by the look of things, You should be able to tell by the way the trailer is holding the weight. Tire's, Spring's, And then maybe take around the block for a little test to see if you can handle more, or if you got a little to much.

Without a scale you simply won't know. So, you know what your rig looks and feels like under a full load with your car on the trailer. All I can say is try not to exceed that look and feel.

Yeah the barn is dis-manteled and we are going to load it piece by piece. So thats what I was kinda going for the look of the trailer because I wont know what every piece actually weighs. If anyone has anymore input please let me know. Like I said he's a good friend and I'm not asking for any money. Hes paying for gas and tolls and going to feed me but I dont want to destroy my trailer. Thanks for the help
