Trying to see if ford used the same hitch for all f150 models? I have a 06 f150 with a 8 foot bed. I found a good deal on a take-off factory hitch, not sure what bed style it came off of. Just need to know if it will work on my truck

Should only be one and will bolt up to any 04-07 F-150.

The hitch on my 06 F150 is completely different from the one on my 04 F150. The 06 did away with the side gussets and it seems to be integrated into the bumper brackets on the end of the frame horns. Both my 04 and my 06 have the factory tow package, not aftermarket. You should check to be certain it will fit an 06 because Ford did change some things from 04-06.

 

The hitch is off an 06. My truck is an 06. I just didnt know if there is a difference between hitches used on short beds vs long beds

 

I don't know whether they make a different hitch for different size beds. My 06 is a Super Crew 5.5 foot bed.

 

I have an 06 scab and the hitch from an 05 screw was identical. My brother and a friend both have 04 scab's with factory tow packages and both of their hitches are different. Make sure you get the wire harness as it will have both the round seven pin and the flat 4 pin connectors.
