Help !! 2006 F150 Short Bed 5th wheel instal
Hello everyone,
I have a 2001 SC 5.4l and have been towing 24' fith wheel with no problem. I did instal the 12K Superglide pullrite hitch myself with no problems. Recently I enherited a 2006 F150 5.4l SC short box 5.5' from my dad. I love the truck and want to keep it. I would like to know if it is feasible to put the same hitch in from my old truck. I see that Pullrite makes an instal kit for it, but I see the warning about bed height. Also the brakets mounting on the new frame style seems to me that is more difficult than my 2001 frame style. Did anyone put in a 12K superglide in a 2006 SC 5.5' bed? How is the trailer to bed clerance? How easy or difficult it is to instal it myself? Any help or comments would be greatly appreciated.
