OEM Replacement Tow Harness

Heres the issue,

I have a 2004 F150 4.6 (new body, styleside) which does not have the 7-pin wiring. So I went online and found a 7-Pin T-One replacement harness fro Draw-Tite that will fit. So I order the harness and follow the directions, installing the relay, grounding the harness and seperating the current harness and installing the new harness. Everything seem to hookup ok, but when I use the turn signals or 4 ways or brakes the tailights are very dim, I mean real dim. I did notice that the plate lights flashed with the 4-ways. I have tried everything to trouble shoot this but can't find the problem. Has anyone had this issue before?? Can anyone suggest a possible fix??

Thanks in advance

I would say you have a bad short in it,undo everything and start over before it burns up or melts your wires some were in the system. You may have hooked up a wire to a wrong color wire and are getting a feed back to the ground.A direct short would make your lights go dim.

For thoses who are interested...

Well after looking over everything and testing, testing, testing I came to the conclusion that something is missing from this harness. So I called the company I order from (etrailer.com) and they sent me a picture of the harness and sure enough the harness I received was missing one of the pins and wiring! So after a lengthly discussion with customer service they said they are shipping out a replacement.
