towing question

I have an 05 F150 extended cab with a 350 V8 and a tow package. I'm looking at buying a toy hauler but don't want to trade my truck in for an F250. Can mods be made to get the towing capacity of an F250?

Ford doesn't make and never has made a 350 V8. It is either a 4.6 liter or a 5.4 liter. To answer your question, no. The towing ratings are based on axles ratings and braking capacity, two things you can't change.

I was in the same dilema, I found a used kz sportster 22', with a front tip out queen bed. 4400 lbs empty, 7000 lbs total capacity. Look at toy hauler manufacturers that offer Light, Ultra Light, Super Lite, etc models. Most of these can be pulled with your truck, almost any toy hauler over 23' will be too much weight for your truck.
