Trailer tail lights?

Hello,

I have a small trailer (12 feet 1 7/8" class 2 ball) using the standard four pin wiring connector.

The tail lights in the back have a main light and a small wing light. What are the wing lights for? How do I get them to light?

The main lights respond to brake and left/right turn and front head lights turned on. But none of these actions cause a response by the small wing lights.

If you go here, this is what I have on the trailer.

Thank you for your help.

It's a side marker light,it may not be hooked up inside or the bulb is bad,it should come on when you have the lights on.

Ok, interesting. The forward side marker lights do come on. I checked the bulb and they are fine. So, the wiring must be messed up in between.

Thanks for the info, now I know where to start.
