Well I do lock the OD out when towing that much weigh. One time I pull 2500lbs and pull it in OD. But some stupid people pull in OD when pulling 4500lbs. But on flat land, it pulls OK. I know how to drive it and its been three years and I am still pulling.

Well, I was towing a 2700lb car and a 1000lb trailer. Not too far from 4500.

Like I said, as long as the torque converter isn't slipping to maintain speed, you're fine.
