Towing Mirrors

Can anyone suggest a good add-on mirror for my 05 Lariat. I am getting a Haulmark toy hauler and it is 100" wide and I am pretty sure I will need some extended mirrors.

I use the strap on wallmart specials. I have seen ones that mold around the mirrors on 03 and under 150's. I'm sure you can find some for the later models. Those are expesivish though. The wallmart ones were like $17. Little small but they get the job done.

I wish Ford would put extendable mirrors on the 150. The titan even has em for goodness sake.

I pull a travel trailer and had problems "seeing" around the trailer. I bought a pair of **** slip on mirrors. They worked for my application.

**** makes a replacement mirror. They are simillar to the stock mirror that comes on the superduty. They telescope out and can be ordered with power and heat. They are about $300-400 but are well worth the $$$$

I didn't think **** made a mirror for the newer style F150's.

Schefenacker makes a really nice telescoping mirror for the new 150's - complete with power, heated and turn signals. They are pricey though. I was looking for them and once in a while you can find them on Ebay at at decent price.

**** makes slip-ons for the 04-06 F150 mirrors. They will not fit the STX type mirrors. They fit the power adjustable factory mirrors. **** part number 11800 for the pair. I love em. I got mine from Autobarn.com. They are the same ones that Ford sells in their accessory catalog. Here is a link to a post with a picture of them in use: **** tow mirrors.

I have the Schafenacker TTT mirrors, and I love them. I tow a 30' travel trailer, and have no problems with blind spots. Yes they were pricey, but well worth it if you do a lot of towing. If it's just for a 1-time (or very infrequent) basis, you might be better to stick with some cheap **** slip-ons (I also had them, and they were ok, but they vibrate quite a lot).

Hey kd, did your mirrors come in a pair or just one of them. I'm thinking about getting them from moss motors and they are $65 but it doesnt say if it comes with one or 2 of them.

Prof,

The part number 11800 is for the pair. They have a window for the turn signal if your mirrors are equipped with them. The individual mirrors are part number 11801 and 11802.
