U-Haul Hitch?

I just called my local U-Haul for a quote on a hitch for my 2002 F150 and the guy said that they have a discontinued Class 3 hitch for $70 and they could install it for $20. Or he said I could buy the other Class 3 hitch for $100 and the install would be the same. I asked him why that one was discontinued and he said that they have gotten a different model number, the question is, should I get the discontinued one or buy the one for $30 more?

Go look at them.
Some hang lower than others.
Some stick out farther than others.
(I used to leave the ball in mine and I have the scar to prove it.)

That sucks. I've tripped over my WD hitch a couple times. I haven't dropped it on my foot yet though (crosses fingers).

I'd look at the two side by side. See if you can tell the difference. Could be that the new hitch is actually Class IV, which is a little heavier duty. Just make sure the old one wasn't recalled or discontinued for a reason...
