2wd or 4wd?
Either way, your payload is around 1600-1700 pounds. That includes fuel, passengers, and cargo in the back. 200 pounds of gas and however much the people weigh gives you the rated cargo weight.
However, both of my F-150's haven't had any problems with a little extra weight. I've had 2500 pounds in the back of my Screw, plus 370lb of passengers for short distances. I wouldn't go 350 miles, though. Based on my two 4wd F-150's, I'd have no problem carrying 2000 pounds of cargo that distance if I had to.

You should be okay. You will know it's there, and if you enjoy screaming around turns like I do, you won't be able to do that with the load. Just make sure you get it loaded right also. You will need most of the weight in front and over the rear axle. Don't have it loaded behind.
Thanks for all your help. I really didn't want to get half-way through my trip and get in a bad situation.

One thing I forgot to mention. You will probably have to add air to your tires. If you have P series tires, probably to close to max. If LT tires, you won't need max, but definitely will have to bump them up a bit.
