Help! I am replacing my brake controller with a new Prodigy but I have long lost the wiring diagram that shows what wire does what coming out from under the dash to my contoller. Anyone have an one handy that can help me out? I just need wire color and what each one goes to.

Just buy the Ford wire harness for the Prodigy and it's a plug and play deal. Costs about $10 extra..... That way you can keep your old controller as a spare just in case.....

The Ford harness is not colored the same as the Prodigy.

Ford says: White ground
Dark Blue Trailer electric brake feed from brake controller (output)
Light Green Vehicle stop lamp switch to brake controller (input)
Red fused trailer brake controller battery feed
Brown Head lamp switch to vehicle running lamps

Prodigy says: Black Positive battery
White Negatiave battery
Red cold side of stoplight switch
Blue brake output to trailer

So, double the end of the brown & tape it. It's not used. Otherwise, black to red, white to white, red to light green & blue to dark blue, Prodigy color listed first.

 

I have that controller and the premade double ended cable and did not use the Ford supplied cable. $10.00 plugs right in.
