What type of straps are you using?
To strap your car to your trailer? I have an 18' open car hauler with wooden floor. I was tolds not to use the web straps because they stretch. anyone else here this ?
Also, where is the best place to attach a strap to the bottom of a newer Mustang Cobra ? ('99).

I use the nylon ratcheting tie downs on my mustang all of the time. Although mine is a 72.
I use an 'axle' strap and two tie downs for the rear, and two tie downs attached to the frame on the front. I also use wheel chocks.
I am OK with the stretch/give of the nylon. It is a personal preference. I look to the SEMI's on the highway to see what they are using. Although, driving style might dictate chains (for speed demons)
Good luck on whatever you deciede

I tow my 93 Cobra using 4 axle straps. I route them thru the front cross member and diagonally across the rear axle. Ive stayed away from using body mounts/hole for fear of stretching (sp) the metal out around the holes. I think I boughtn them from Summit Racing
Looks like I am good to go on the nylon straps ....Thanks for all the replies.
I just now have to figure the best place to put them on the car. It is an IRS equipped Cobra that doesn't have the live axel in the rear.
Decisions .....Decisions ..

A bit late to the thread, but for a car you care about I'd use nothing BUT nylon. You want the stretch as the car bounces around otherwise all those shocks are transferred to the vehicle where you've tied it down.
Even the big boys in racing use nylon.
Now, if you're moving a tractor or dozer... Chain is the only way to go.
