Installing trans. cooler

I am about to install a trans. cooler on a '99 Scab, 4.6L. Should the fluid run from the bottom radiator fitting to the cooler to the bottom transmission line (that was disconnected from the bottom radiator fitting)? Kinda hard to explain. I figure to cool the fluid after is exits the radiator's trans. cooler and then route it back to the pan. There are hard steel lines connected to the radiator at the top and bottom. Is the bottom line the right location to connect to the cooler?

Thanks,
Curt

My stock cooler was plumbed just like that. The bottom line from the rad goes to the cooler. The remaining cooler line goes to the trans.

I've got my trans temp gauge tee'd into the line the goes to the top of the rad. That's the line that comes straight out of the trans and will give you the hottest readings.....

Good luck!

When in doubt about trans cooler lines. Crank it up, let it idle & see which line warms up first. That's the line out of the trans.
