It has the wiring, but not the controller. You would need sometihng like the Prodigy and the Ford wiring harness for as close to plug and play as you can get.

I took the Reese Brake controler from my Windstar, bought the Prodigy connector link cable, cut of the end off that would've pluged into the prodigy unit and slodered all 4 remaining cables (matching colors) and pluged the other end in the connector under the dash of the truck.

And Voilą. It works.

Anybody need a prodigy connector end with about 2" of wires sticking out

I think all recent F-150s are wired from factory for 7 pin plug. Even if you have only a 4 pin plug at the rear, you can get the 7 pin harness at the ford dealership (Price is resonable) comes with a mounting plate. Crank down your spare tire, and on the drivers side fram rail, cliped to the inside next to where your spare tire was, there is a munti-pin connector, unclip and pull out, then further twards the back of the truck, almost inside the bumper, unclip the brake lights connector then you should have the whole harness come out. Replace with the new one (BTW, the harness I bought from ford has both 7 pin and 4 pin )

Then it is a matter of making shure you pop in the reqired relays if not already there and Voilą
