towing in O/D

Is it safe to tow in O/D on long flat stretches? I have the Troyer Stage one kit, and with the 1715 programmer set to tow/perf mode the torque conv. locks up at a low rpm. At about 60 mph, I am turning 1700 rpm. I am towing about 5000 lbs, and only plan on using O/D on the freeway where it is flat.

Permission granted.

The tranny will tell you when to stop using the O/D.

I'll use O/D when towing my 18' car hauler with a car on it, on long flat roads. When the trans starts to downshift I know its time to disengage it...like Raoul said above.
