Chip or no Chip?

I'm gonna be towing about 6000# 1600 miles this weekend. Should I tow with or without my superchip? I see no reason for not towing with it, am I missing anything? I also have a K&N filter and electric fans. Whats teh opinions?
Thanks Ed

Oh yeah, I'm driving to Minnisota to pick up the truck on the right side of my sig.

I don't see any reason not to tow with the chip in. I use the SuperChips Microtuner on my truck, so I don't have the option of simply pulling out a chip when I tow (even if I wanted to). You should be fine.

By the way, that's a 1950 something Effy you're getting, isn't it? I will have one of those some day. My hope is that mine will also have a big blower belt under the hood when I'm done with it. At any rate, cool truck.

Chip! One of the reasons I got the flip chip was to use the high HP side for towing. I think your transmission will love you for it!

Thanks for the replies guys, I guess my first instinct was ok, CHIP IN.......

Mike, That is in fact a 1950 something....its a 1953 F-250, built in Chicago....one of a total year run of 116,437 units, it has a 239CID Flat head 8, a 4 speed Synchronized Transmission, 4.86 rear end, it was and will be Meadow Green........can ya tell I'm a little excited? I am driving from Massachusetts to Minnesota and back this weekend to pick it up.

The blower sounds cool but, this is a stepping stone for me, when all is said and done, I want to end up with a 1937 F-100

Thanks again Ed
