Towing with Load leveling suspension

I have a '98 Navigator with 4 wheel load leveling. My question is what is the procedure for hitching up a travel trailer with a weight distribution hitch. I think this is how I should do it, tell me what you think.

1. With trailer and truck level measure height of hitch and ball.

2. Before I drop the trailer on the ball turn off the air suspension on my vehicle.

3. Hitch up trailer then use the torsion bars to bring back to the original level.

4. Switch on the air suspension.

I think I need to disable the air suspension in step two so the truck doesn't try to level the load before the weight distribution hitch does its job.

Thanks in advance....Smithj

One of our camping friends has a '97 EB Expedition with a 5,000 lbs Jayco, he does exactly what you have mentioned for hooking and leveling his trailer. I believe he said the owners manual has the instructions but I'm not sure.
