Draw tite receiver install, HELP
I've got a 2002 SuperCrew. It didn't come with the tow package but now I want to use a hitch bike rack and maybe tow a small tent trailer.
After asking you guys and doing some homework I bought a Draw-tite model 41520 from eTrailer.com. I just got it. The install sheet says for Ford F150 and SuperCrew. When I ordered it I specified my truck by year and model.
It doesn't fit. My rear bumper has two ears with holes in them that stick down vertically off the back end of the bumper, 6" out on either side of the hitch **** center hole. The receiver has a welded tab for the electrical on the left side, as you're looking at the license plate. No matter how hard I try I cannot get the bolt holes to center, the electrical tab hits the left ear. I've tried several approaches and I can't see how it will fit.
The eTrailer install help is only M-F and I was too late to catch them today. Can anyone out there help me? Am I missing something? Should I just try some more? Help me out, please. I'd like to get this on this weekend.
