Tools You Carry
In your house or shop, you have the luxury of having a bunch of tools in different sizes and configurations.
In your car or truck, you can still manage to have a tool box.
On a bike, you really have to narrow it down to what you need. Instead of a full set of sockets, you have to decide which sockets you absolutely need on the side of the road, in the middle of the night, while it's raining. In the same scenario, you have to narrow everything down. Even if it cost more money to do so. You buy individual sockets, in the handful of necessary sizes. You find more expensive flare nut wrenches, because each tool has two sizes - which means that you carry fewer pieces.
One of the tools I have, in every car glove box or bike jacket pocket, is Irwin Tools 1923455 6LN Vise-Grip Multi-Pliers.
