On the quick reply it is default. Can it be made default?

Nope, no default on the regular post.

Is that because of the way the forum is written or an option the admins set. I work in IT and it should be easy for the forum admins to set it to be default.

Bluejay, Thanks for your help. I have a question, not sure if this is right thread to ask. I am not able to put a pic in a post or reply. On the bottom it says my option to post attachments is not allowed. Do I have to put the pic somewhere else and then link it, or is there something I need to set to be able to put pics in my post or replies?

There are enough members that do not like sigs in every post that it was deemed a good idea not to make it too easy. Make the poster exert some effort to have it show.

You can actually go into the user CP and there is an option to have you sig with every post it is under the edit options section
Visible Post Elements

"You have the option to show or hide various elements of messages, which may be of use to users on slow internet connections, or who want to remove extraneous clutter from posts.
Show Signatures
Show Avatars
Show Images (including attached images and images in [IMG] code)"

There are check boxes next to each one

I have that checked already. That is if you want to see the sigs, images, and avatars when you are viewing the site, not to have your sigs, images, and avatars display when you post a reply or thread. Meaning, say you are using a dialup connection. If you un-check these options you would not see the pics, sigs, or avatars on each thread, therefore allowing the page to load faster and not have to wait for the large pics to load.

You are correct.

Sorry I missed your question on posting pictures. First, attachments are not allowed, you must copy and paste a url. To post a pic in a thread, it must come from a hosted site, such as your album here or Photobucket. It cannot come from your hard drive. You copy your url by going to the properties of the pic and then when making a post, right above the box and to the right, you will see a little yellow icon that looks like mountains. Click on that and paste the url there.
