No audio from iPhone 5c or iPhone 6 via sync anymore

My 2015 F150 XLT, this morning, going into work, it usually connects and starts my podcast, I noticed it didnt, so I go in and "connect" via the bluetooth sync menu, it connects, then disconnects.

I deleted it and paired it again, same thing. WILL NOT PLAY AUDIO.

So I say the hell with it, and plug it in USB. This time it will connect, and you get the visual display with podcast title, and you can see it is playing, but no audio...

This happens in both my iPhone5c and my wife's iPhone6... any ideas?

I have had issues before where this happens, if I re-pair the phone with sync it has fixed it... sucks!

Phone audio does not work too, it dials but no audio

Hi crazynip,

Do you have this issue with phone calls as well, and which system do you have: http://owner.ford.com/how-tos/sync-t...c-version.html Let me know, and I'll assist.

Yes, no audio out of phone calls either.

When you make a phone call or receive one, it shows up on the sync screen with the phone #, but no audio either way

On the wife's iphone when plugged in via USB, the audio cuts in and out, like a record skipping. On mine I get nothing with the USB.

Nothing with bluetooth either. In fact, when I connect the phone in "media" mode and try to play something, it just about immediately disconnects

I have the regular Sync basic, no NAV or anything. On a 2015 F150 XLT

Hey crazynip,

Have you tried a master reset: http://owner.ford.com/sync-technolog...ter-reset-sync

I also recommend checking Owner account for updates: Owner.Ford.com Once you're logged in, select the SYNC & HOW TOS tab then CHECK FOR SOFTWARE UPDATES. Let me know how it goes.

So, randomly it just started working a couple weeks ago. I did nothing, just started working again. Then on last Thursday, in the midst of a 14 hour straight-through drive from Florida to Maryland, it stopped working again. Neither the USB cable or bluetooth sync would work with audio. With either mine or my wife's iphones.

Literally 12 hours into my 14 hour drive.

So we gave up, until 2 days later when it started working again.

I did not update the firmware as recommended, I dont have a flash card to do it. This is majorly frustrating.

Hi crazynip,

Keeping your software current is important. If you're unable to do it yourself, I suggest going to the dealer.

I'll be here if anything else comes up.

If I take it to the dealer, how long will it take them to do it?

crazynip,

I'm not sure. It's best to contact them for an accurate time frame.
