Music from one device, calls from the other.

I have a 2011 F150 with Sync (no navigation screen). I have paired both my iPhone and iPad with Sync without issue. What I would like to do is play music through the iPad and still be able to get calls and texts through the phone, both through Bluetooth.

Is this possible?

Thanks!

There is no technical reason why it can't be done. Certainly, it's not the Bluetooth protocol that's the inhibitor.

MCAP:

It may, however, be a restriction within Sync itself, an/or the hardware.

Hi TWO2SEVEN,

Your SYNC system is designed to allow multiple devices to be paired via Bluetooth, however, only one phone can be connected at a time. You'll find more information about pairing and connecting devices on pages 39-41 of your SYNC Supplement: http://www.fordservicecontent.com/Fo.../11sycsy2e.pdf
