Sync Issues
On a side note in regards to the bluetooth audio skipping / buffering...I read that if you disable the WiFi connection on your bluetooth device that will solve that problem...not sure if that is true or not but thougth I'd share

well just got a phone call from the dealership who "fixed" my truck. They said it was fixed and parts replaced and the paperwork says it was completed, the parts to fix it just arrived at the dealership so the week they had it they didn't do **** to it, lied to me and now expect me to drive 4 hours to them to do the same work again.

I have the exact problem stated. No power to AUX channel when pressed, no "Sync" dialog when steering wheel phone button pressed. Dealer has been hard booting it, and then it goes down a few days later. This has happened 3 times to no avail...
The easiest way to fix the issue...buy a new radio that has bluetooth. The one I recommend is the Pioneer AVH P4400bh. It's an outstanding radio and the bluetooth is great. No problems, plus if anything goes wrong Pioneer will fix it and not give you the run around.
This fixed it for me - I haven't had one single time where sync was un-usable since this TSB was applied. Good luck!
TSB #11-10-22 for Sync reliability problems after vehicle start if USB devices are connected.
The TSB states that the Audio Control Module (ACM) must be reprogrammed to change power on sequencing if the customer states a concern with sync operation at startup.
The symptoms are - the sync system was not usable about 1 out of 5 times - requiring a shutdown of the vehicle and opening of the door until the Sync module (APIM) was de-powered and then powered on again... when I say not usable I mean that the voice button, aux buttons result in no voice prompt and the USB port is un-powered.

Here’s the text of the TSB:
TSB 11-10-22 SYNC LOCKUP DURING VEHICLE CRANKING / STARTING - SINGLE CD OR SIX DISC CD - BUILT ON OR BEFORE 7/29/2011
Publication Date: October 20, 2011
FORD: 2011 F-150
The article supersedes TSB 11-9-7 to update the Action statement.
ISSUE:
Some 2011 F-150 vehicles equipped with SYNC and either a single disc or six disc cd player audio control unit and built on or before 7/29/2011 may exhibit a lockup condition of the accessory protocol interface module (APIM) when the vehicle is started. This concern may be more evident with a USB device connected and/or with the door open.
ACTION:
Reprogram the audio control module (ACM) to the latest calibration using IDS release 75.04 and higher. This new calibration is not included in the VCM 2011.9 DVD.DVD. Calibration files may also be obtained at www.motorcraft.com.
NOTE: NAVIGATION EQUIPPED VEHICLES ARE NOT AFFECTED BY THIS CONCERN. PROCEED WITH NORMAL WSM DIAGNOSIS FOR NAVIGATION EQUIPPED UNITS.
WARRANTY STATUS:
Eligible Under Provisions Of New Vehicle Limited Warranty Coverage
IMPORTANT: Warranty coverage limits/policies are not altered by a TSB. Warranty coverage limits are determined by the identified causal part.
OPERATION DESCRIPTION TIME

Well, it's done. I had to tell the dealer that I wanted that TSB SPECIFICALLY Done, but the improvement is obvious. I get about 90% success rate when starting the truck that the phone connects to the Sync. Previously, it was about 40% or so.
The other issues I suspect are Sync related. When I hit the voice button, and choose "Services" it can take 5 minutes to connect. Not sure what it's doing. After that first time, it gets better.
