Question of the Week: Could the next gen Raptor use the Super Duty 6.2L?

So while it seems that most people expect to see either the 3.5L EcoBoost or the 5.0L V8 in the next generation F150 Raptor, it has been suggested that the Super Duty 6.2L V8 could be adapted for SVT use.

For our Question of the Week, do you think that Ford and SVT might come back with another 6.2L V8 for the 2015 F150-based Raptor?

Well, if EcoBeast is to be a thing, then maybe we could be looking at the first V8 EcoBoost engine. Im thinking Twin Turbocharged 5.0L!

I really hope they don't put a v6 ecoboost in the raptor either keep the 6.2 or as I said in another thread that 5.2 flat plane v8 from the gt350 would be sick considering its supposed to be over 500hp...

I doubt the 6.2 will ever be seen again in a vehicle that is subject to CAFE requirements. As soon as the over 8500 GVW trucks fall under that, I bet it will also be gone in the Super Duty.
