Oh and why would you choose a crew cab for drag racing? You planning on taking 3-4 people down the track with you? When I first started reading this I thought you were going to use it to tow you're other vehicle to and from the track (which still doesn't make much sense), but then I saw that you actually plan on drag racing it. Most people who build a vehicle for the sole purpose of drag racing choose a base model 2WD single cab. It's yours and your sponsors money that you're spending so have at it, but I just don't understand your choice of vehicle in this case.

I'm sorry but your making it seem like these guys are wasting there money on this truck. Why are you trying to dumb there project down? I think what they are doing is really awesome and give them a big "heck yeah"! It's there money and they can do what they want with it. 2wd, 4wd or even 6wd. Who cares, the truck is bad ass period! Either way this truck is gonna be fast!! If your post is not meant to be bashing on this Raptor, then don't make it seem like it is. I'm sure you could find a way to get your point across in a non negative way. Can't wait to see this thing in all her glory. Good luck guys! |

I think it's an amazing vehicle, I just don't understand buying one and then turning it into a drag truck when there are other much better (and cheaper) options out there. |

If you remove all emotion and look at this from a logical standpoint, it is a monumental waste of money. You pay extra for a Raptor because of the drivetrain, suspension, bodywork, interior, and the extra lights for night time driving, and so on... How much of that is needed for a drag racing? This vehicle was designed for the sole purpose of racing across the desert, drag racing never entered the equation. This is the equivalent of buying a factory built Porsche 911 Cup car and re-doing it to go off-roading.

Stuff just like that. If you can figure out a way to retain the factory suspension and still be competitive in drag racing then more power to you, but I don't see how you can.

As for there being cheaper options out there, who cares, they are obviously not concerned with price. |

Hey, do us all a favor and never post in this thread again. Your comments are a waste of space on this forum. If he wants to make his truck completely unique, more power to him. Just because this isn't something you would do to a raptor, doesn't mean they shouldn't either.

Uber jealous of this build.
|
+1, I smell jealousy like stink on poo!
Lots of ways to build a race truck or car. Obviously guy doesn't have an open mind. |
|
My mind is wide open, I assure you. I apparently made the mistake of assuming that when he said "Race Truck" he meant a full on race truck. My mistake.
Moving on... Is all the blue on the truck airbrush? |

Moving on... Is all the blue on the truck airbrush? As for racing he's running it in the NMRA lightning and truck class, I could be wrong but they probably like the trucks in that class to be as close to stock as possible. |
